The
Science of Islam (working
title) The
three-hour documentary television series “The Science of Islam”
will take us on a fast-paced and adventurous voyage through time and
space. Guided by our intrepid
host, we will explore the stunning – but now forgotten –
discoveries of Islam’s Golden Age of Science, discoveries that
were a key catalyst in the birth of today’s ongoing Scientific
Revolution. Part detective story, part
forensic exploit, part “Lonely Planet”, part “connections”
– with ideas and images ricocheting between today and yesterday,
between East and West – “The Science of Islam” will be a
dazzling discovery. It will turn many
widely accepted ideas about the history of science upside down. A thousand years ago – when Europe was in the midst of what the Europeans of the Renaissance later called the “Dark Ages” – scientists in the Islamic World were working on problems that we’re still trying to solve today. We will meet these scientists of 1000 years ago as they propel us into the present time. _________________________________
Mesmerized …Wayne Lee the Hypnotist (working
title) Throughout
history, mankind has been fascinated with the mystery of how to
unleash the unlimited power of our minds and tapping into our true
potential. Comedic
hypnotist, Wayne Lee, is someone who seeks this career niche of self-help
guru. With his
Ken-doll looks and omnipresent smile, the hypnotic performer
relentlessly promotes himself and his show, tirelessly performing
magic tricks, churning out motivational acronyms, and preaching
about human mind power to any willing audience.
Mesmerized examines the mystery behind hypnosis,
highlighting the hilarity of the onstage antics of the Wayne Lee
Hypnosis show while documenting the charismatic stage performer’s
unrelenting efforts to profoundly redesign his act for the massive
self-help market. This
13 part series will also chronicle the true effects of hypnosis on
three of Wayne’s most intriguing clients; Wayne has a plethora
of individuals who seek his hypnosis expertise in order to help them
with their respective problems and challenges.
This series will look at 3 of Wayne’s more compelling
clients, documenting their efforts to use hypnosis in an effort to

FANATIC 60-minute documentary exploring the world of the crazed sports fan. To many of us sports are a metaphor for life… …to the sports fanatic, sports are life! Fanatics are the sorts of eccentric sports fans who passionately follow their team’s every move and live and die with each goal scored, race run, home-run hit, and point awarded. FANATIC would spend 8-12 months with several of these face-painting, superstitious, obsessive fans - from different cultures and sports - as they cheer on their home team for a season. It seems that regardless of ethnicity, sports figures and teams play a prominent role in society and that extreme sports enthusiasts are universal. FANATIC would take a light-hearted look at these compulsive sports followers, observing their rituals, neuroses and customs, highlighting the unique role sports play in their lives and those of their loved ones. This colorful journey of the sports season viewed through the eyes of the FANATIC will be shot over the course of a year on Panasonic 24 fps digital cameras. Interviews and other scenes will be shot on digital betacam or HD. In addition to following a plethora of these eccentric sports fanatics, FANATIC will feature the perspective of a myriad of sports media personalities and the high-profile athletes that are the object of the fan’s adulation. FANATIC is produced by Hoda Elatawi of GAPC Entertainment, and written and directed by documentary filmmaker Jeremy Podlog.
